Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily transport operations and ensure timely deliveries.
- Supervise drivers and transport staff.
- Plan routes and schedules for cost-efficient operations.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, and insurance renewals.
- Monitor fuel usage and transport costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety and transport regulations.
- Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams for smooth distribution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in transport management (manufacturing/distribution industry preferred).
- Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent knowledge of road networks and transport regulations.
- Strong communication skills in Sinhala and English (Tamil is an advantage).
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
