Job Description

We are looking for a shopkeeper (contract based) for our newly opened shop in Negombo (Kurana).

1. Shop related activities:

Reordering goods for sale from markets, wholesalers and other suppliers,

Maintaining records of financial transactions, daily,

Displaying goods for sale,

Selling goods to customers and advising them on product use,

Examining returned goods and deciding on appropriate action,

Taking weekly inventory of goods in stock,

Checking expired dates or damaged products, and remove products, when necessary,

Checking social media (FB, Instagram) and replying to all messages and calls daily.

2. Shop maintenance:

o Water plants,

o Keep the shop clean and presentable,

o Keep the bathroom and the car park clean (no responsibility about the car park).

3. Special duty:

o Represent the Client in front of bulk buyers.

WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION

- Tuesday to Sunday: from 10AM to 8PM,

- Location: Arômes de France – 905, Puttalam-Colombo Road, Negombo

Minimum 1 year of experience as independent shopkeeper (recommendations required)

** Computer savvy ** (Worksheets for activity tracking, financial statements, Online communication tools, emails, etc.)

Ideally, the applicant has knowledge on online store management such as Wordpress/WooCommerce

Once the collaboration is confirmed, we will offer an employment contract to the shop keeper.
