About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Manager – General Insurance to lead and oversee insurance operations, sales performance, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, in-depth knowledge of general insurance products, and experience working in a brokering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the General Insurance division.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve business growth and sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and business partners.
- Oversee underwriting, policy administration, and claims handling processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the team to achieve operational excellence.
- Monitor business performance and prepare management reports.
- Identify new business opportunities and drive customer retention initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in General Insurance.
- Minimum 5 years of Quality Assurance (QA) experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Prior experience working in an insurance brokering company is essential.
- Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certification is required or strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in both operations management and sales management.
- Strong knowledge of general insurance products, underwriting, and claims processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
