Job Description
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage overall dry bulk vessel operations at ports.
- Coordinate vessel berthing, discharge, and cargo delivery operations.
- Supervise stevedoring, draft surveys, cargo outturn, and quantity reconciliation.
- Manage lighterage operations and monitor barge performance.
- Oversee warehouse operations, inventory control, and cargo dispatch.
- Verify cargo receipts, stock reconciliation, and warehouse balances.
- Coordinate with Owners, Charterers, Port Authorities, Shipping Agents, Surveyors, Stevedores, and Transport Contractors.
- Monitor vessel productivity and minimize port stay, delays, and demurrage exposure.
- Verify Statements of Facts (SOF), Time Sheets, Notice of Readiness (NOR), and laytime calculations.
- Review discharge reports, survey reports, and operational documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Charter Party terms, port regulations, and HSE requirements.
- Prepare daily operational reports and provide timely updates to management.
- Resolve operational issues to ensure safe and efficient cargo handling.
- Optimize logistics performance and ensure timely completion of cargo operations.
- Perform any other shipping and logistics duties assigned by management.
